Purple, green and blue were all colours trending at this years design shows. Although purple is not a traditional Christmas colour it’s incredibly versatile and works perfectly with metallics like gold, silver, and copper. Our customers love purple so I can’t wait to decorate our new “Peacock” inspired tree. This stunning example by Florabelle was seen at the recent Sydney Gift Fair. Decked out in purple and silver it’s a perfect example of the trend for 2017.
Pantone made “Greenery” colour of the year for 2017 so it was no surprise to see shades of green at most design shows. A natural/botanical theme is still a major trend throughout the interiors world and now continues into Christmas decorating. This Christmas wreath by Floral Interiors had a beautiful verdigris finish which I loved.
Pastel shades of pink, peach and lavender are still a popular trend. These glittered roses by Katherine’s Collection exemplify this style. When decorating a little goes a long way so best to use one pretty pastel colour and complement with neutrals.
That’s the last of my Christmas trend reports for 2017, can’t wait to get decorating with this amazing new product later in the year.
