Bling! Bling!

It’s Christmas and who doesn’t like a bit of sparkle. I’m no girly girl but it’s hard not to be seduced by this new trend. It’s all about the bling, and I’ve seen all kinds of everything covered in diamanté. In fact this craze has been so successful it’s now available in pretty pastel hues like champagne, a more sophisticated option.

But I’m talking about Hollywood glamour, especially 1920s & 30s vintage styling. Brooches can feature as a dazzling centrepiece for an elaborate bow, try using satin or velvet ribbon. Decorations in jewel colours like ruby, sapphire and amethyst add an intensity and depth to any Christmas tree theme.

Not for everyone, but a diamanté garland wrapped around a special gift makes a wonderful suprise!
