The Secret Garden

The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett is a classic children’s story and the starting point for this Christmas tree theme. Our tree is framed by wrought iron gates which are covered in copper wire lights then floral sprays of antique gold and moss green.

I started by criss crossing a satin ribbon across a 10ft tree to create a trellis effect. The spaces in between are filled with decorations in pastel shades of blue, green and gold. I used pink for the centre of the tree to add vibrancy and contrast. Sadly grand plans for a swing and ballerina were put on hold for another year!
